United Airlines started in 1926 and started growing through the
years from a partnership between four early U.S. mail carriers to a worldwide airline
serving nearly 119 destinations in 26 countries and 2 territories.
Once you start navigating United Airlines's website you will be faced with three options
at first. You can check for flight fares, flight status and mileage summary (you have to
have a mileage plus number to do that). In order to check for flight fares you have to
enter the "from" and "to" destinations and then enter the departure
and return dates. United Airlines can either give you the information by flight schedule
or by price, if you choose for example to check the flights by price, the cheapest flight
for your requirements will be displayed. Once you choose the flight that you like, you
have to select it and then fill the required forms of personal information to make the
purchase. If you have purchased a certain flight it is always better to check the flight
status before you go to the airport. To check the flight status you have to enter the
flight number in the required box as well as the departure date and then click on check.
You will get information concerning any changes in departure and arrival times as well as
the departure and arrival gates and finally the baggage claim number on arrival. United
Airlines can provide you with mileage summary. You just enter your mileage plus number and
you password and you will get your summary (if you don't have that you have to register a
profile at united.com which you can do by clicking on update profile and then follow the
instructions to sign up for "My Mileage Plus"). You will always find great deals
and special promotions to earn more miles. At unitedairlines.com all your questions
concerning travelling are found under these four headings: "Planning Travel",
"Travel Support", "Mileage Plus " and "About united ". All
you have to do is click on the subheading that you have a question about to get your
answers.
